Social Media Management

Your social media accounts are often the first place a customer checks to make sure you're real and serious, even if they found you through an ad or a search. An account that's been quiet for months, or posts with nothing tying them together, leaves an impression before you've said anything. I provide this service, managing your accounts and overseeing what gets published, with the aim of a steady presence built on a clear plan and a consistent voice.

When you need it

  • Your accounts have gone quiet, or you post whenever someone remembers to.
  • You post regularly, but nothing connects the posts to a single message.
  • You're on many platforms and don't know which ones are worth the effort.
  • You want to know whether what you post is doing anything.

What the service can include

The scope of each project is set according to the platforms and what you need, and may include:

Review of current accounts
what's been posted, what people engaged with, and the impression the accounts give today.
Choosing platforms
where your audience actually is, which platforms deserve focus, and where activity can be reduced.
Content plan
recurring themes that reflect your brand's message, and a clear publishing calendar.
Producing and publishing posts
according to the content types and sources we agree on.
Engaging with your audience
comments and messages, as defined in the scope of work.
Tracking performance
reading what your audience responds to, and adjusting the plan accordingly.

How this differs from paid advertising

Social media management builds a steady presence for people who follow you or visit your account. Paid advertising delivers a specific message to an audience you choose, whether they follow you or not. The first makes your account trustworthy when a customer visits it; the second brings the customer to it, or to your website. Many businesses need both, and each has its own page.

How I work on it

  1. Review the current stateof your accounts and your competitors'.
  2. Set the platforms, themes, and voice
  3. A publishing planagreed in advance.
  4. Production, approval, and publishingfollowing the agreed process.
  5. Regular reviewof performance, and adjustments to the plan.

What I need from you

  • Access to the accounts.
  • The material you have: product photos, your work, your premises, your staff if you'd like them to appear.
  • Information, offers, and occasions you want to post about, well before they happen.
  • Who approves content in your company, and who handles inquiries that need a direct response from the business.

Service limits

I don't guarantee a certain number of followers or interactions. Numbers alone don't mean much: an account with fewer followers and the right audience can serve your business better than a large account nobody buys from.

FAQ

Do I need to be on every platform?

No. It's better to have a strong presence on the platforms where your audience is than a weak presence everywhere. I set the priorities with you based on your business and your customers.

Does the service include replying to comments and messages?

That's defined in the scope of work. Some companies prefer their own staff to handle inquiries, especially about prices and orders, while others want engagement managed as part of the service.

Will I approve every post before it's published?

We agree on the approval process at the start: you might approve the full plan for a period, or each post individually. What matters is that the process is clear and doesn't hold up publishing.

Are followers and engagement the most important measures?

They're not the only ones. What matters more is whether your presence on these platforms supports trust in your brand and brings customers closer to getting in touch or buying, and that's what I try to read alongside engagement numbers.
